Farbe’s Fleet Service has grown into the company we are today from experience and by keeping up with the changing times.
Owner, Byron Farbe, feels that hard work is the only way to succeed in business. Working as a mechanic at the local Ford dealership, he was quickly promoted to a management position. Feeling his full potential was not being reached, he decided to start Farbe’s Wrecker Service.
The wrecker business opened doors that led to a new venture, Farbe’s Fleet Service. This new collision center ran in conjunction with the wrecker business. Eventually, the growth of Farbe’s Fleet Service led to Farbe’s Wrecker Service being sold.
As times changed, Byron recognized the need for a better auto salvage marketplace. Although the collision center had been successful, he decided to focus efforts on changing the company to a salvage company. Throughout the years, business relationships with various insurance companies helped transform the company into the salvage business we are today. Unlike most salvage companies we do not sell parts. We specialize in all types of repairable salvage.
FFS is one of the oldest salvage yards in the New Orleans Metro Area! Being in operation for over 40 years, we have built a loyal customer base.
